Logging out makes my IE crash

For the last few days whenever I've logged out of this site the whole page turns grey and internet explorer freezes. Why is this and what can I do about it? (Other than Ctrl+Alt+Del?)

Are you sure it freezes the computer (is the hard drive activity light flickering?)

The screen turning grey is a cosmetic function of the forum software, as it erases the cookie from this site.

Give it a few moments, then it should have finished logging out.
And, what is wrong with leaving the computer to log in on this site anyway?

Update your software. If you are running a very old version of IE or windows, you may get a problem. It's not a problem with the site though.
